Studio Tours and Rural Routes

Discover the charm of the Leaskdale Loop, a collaborative day trip experience created by a diverse collection of small rural businesses in Leaskdale, Ontario. Here, local farmers, makers, artists, and musicians open their doors to share the heart of their community, offering visitors an authentic taste of country living.

There are two stop in Brock in the Loop. Rolling Hills Studio invites you to step into a world of Fantasy and Vive Lavender Farm hosts afternoon teas and events.

Every stop along the loop reflects the pride and creativity of people who live where they work, committed to building connections and celebrating local talent.

Every September, North Durham comes alive with creativity during the Uxbridge Studio Tour. This free, self-guided event invites visitors into the studios of more than 60 juried artists, where you can explore everything from bold paintings and fine ceramics to jewellery, textiles, woodwork, and sculpture. It’s a rare chance to meet artists, see their process up close, and experience the region’s creative spirit in an intimate and inspiring way.

Now in its 40th year, the Studio Tour has become one of Ontario’s most respected art events. With maps and the “Toureka!” app to help you plan your route, you can spend the weekend touring studios across town and countryside while enjoying local cafés, trails, and local charm
